2019 NFL Mock Draft Picks 17-32
17. New York Giants (Via Cleveland): WR DK Metcalf, Ole Miss
He isn’t Odell Beckham Jr., but this guy sure is talented. Metcalf would be the perfect complement to the duo of Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate. He will also open up the field for dynamic running back Saquon Barkley.
18. Minnesota Vikings: OT Andre Dillard, Washington State University
They paid Kurt Cousins, now it’s time to protect him. Dillard’s stock has been soaring the past few weeks and Minnesota feel pressured to protect their franchise quarterback.
19. Tennessee Titans: TE Irv Smith Jr., Alabama
Delanie Walker missed most of the 2019 season due to injury and he isn’t getting younger. While the Titans do have Jonnu Smith, selecting Irv Smith could create a dynamic duo for years to come.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers: CB Byron Murphy, Washington
The first corner coming off the board is Washington’s Byron Murphy has exceptional skill at the line and can finally change the Steelers miserable secondary drafting.
21. Seattle Seahawks: WR Hakeem Butler, Iowa State
Quarterback Russell Wilson hasn’t had a consistent big bodied wideout in his career, why not take the guy many people are considering a poor man’s Calvin Johnson
22. Baltimore Ravens: WR Marquise Brown, Oklahoma
The most dynamic receiver to a receiver-needy team? I think so. Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is the cousin of Raiders wideout Antonio Brown and if he can be half as good as his cousin then Baltimore would give Lamar Jackson their best wideout since Steve Smith.
23. Houston Texans: OT Jonah Williams, Alabama
Like the Vikings, Houston must find a way to protect their franchise quarterback and Williams is a value pick late in the first round.
24. Oakland (via Chicago): CB Deandre Baker, Georgia
Oakland needs a guy across from Gareon Conley and Baker was rated a top-5 corner in college. This one’s a no brainer.
25. Philadelphia Eagles: EDGE Clelin Ferrell, Clemson
Trading away DE Micheal Bennett to the Patriots leaves a hole for the Eagles pass rush rotation and Ferrell is as dominate as they come. While he missed Clemson’s dynamic playoff run he could have an immediate impact in the NFL.
26. Indianapolis Colts: WR AJ Brown, Ole Miss
Give Andrew Luck more weapons.
27. Oakland (via Dallas): RB Myles Sanders, Penn State
Sanders may not be the highest ranked back, but he could have the most pro-ready potential. If he projects close to Bears running back Tarik Cohen or Saints running back Alvin Kamara then the Raiders would get a steal with this selection.
28. Los Angeles Chargers: QB Daniel Jones, Duke
The heir to Phillip Rivers could come in a similar style quarterback in Duke’s Daniel Jones. He might not be pro ready now after only one season staring for the Blue Devils, but a year or two behind Rivers could turn Jones to a superstar.
29. Seattle (via Kansas City): S Jonathan Abrams, Mississippi State University
He isn’t Earl Thomas but he plays hard and will be a force on that defense. This guy has Seahawks material written all over him.
30. Green Bay (via New Orleans): OG Cody Ford, Oklahoma
Aaron Rodgers career guards have retired, Ford will give the Packers a way to protect Rodgers in what is a new chapter for the Cheeseheads.
31. Los Angeles Rams: DT Jeffery Simmons, Mississippi State University
Simmons is rated as a top-10 prospect by many. The Rams have lost Ndamukong Suh. The Rams also got ran allover in the Super Bowl. This pick is also a no brainer for the Rams.
32. New England Patriots: CB Greedy Williams, LSU
This kid seems like a Patriots player. A highly touted player who has fallen due to struggling in season. The Patriots could get a shutdown corner late in the first round to re-solidify their defense.
