TE Jason Witten Returns to Dallas.
Future Hall of Fame tight end Jason Witten has decided to leave ESPN’S Monday Night Football to rejoin the Dallas Cowboys. This move comes as a surprise as Witten has previously stated that he did plan on returning to the NFL.
After trading their 2019 first round pick for wide receiver Amari Cooper, the Cowboys offense exploded at the end of the season. The Cowboys would go on to make the playoffs only to lose to the eventual NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams.
The re-addition of Witten helps Dallas QB Dak Prescott who had his best season when Witten was on the team in 2017 and will help improve a weak TE position for the Cowboys.
