2019-2020 NFL Power Rankings
The centineal season of the NFL is upon us and it is gearing up to be one of the greatest seasons in NFL history. With no shortage of star players and fantastic teams, it will be interesting to see if anyone can unseat the reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in this 6-month journey that ends in Miami with Super Bowl LIV.

1) New England Patriots
The reigning champs remain at the top of the NFL World heading into the 2019-2020 season. This Patriots team may have lost tight end Robert Gronkowski and defensive end Tre Flowers but added Wide Receiver Nkeal Harry, defensive end Michael Bennett, and a reinstated Josh Gordon. And as long as this team has Tom Brady and Bill Belichick running the show it is hard to ever count them out of a potential Super Bowl appearance.
5) Chicago Bears
Year 2 of Mitch Trubisky in Matt Nagy’s offense should bring about an improved passing game and run game with the addition of Iowa State Rookie RB David Montgomery. The Bears biggest loss is quite possibly the loss of DC Vic Fangio, who is now the Denver Broncos head coach, however former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano is now in control of a star-studded defense that shouldn’t take a major step back in Khalil Mack’s second year on the team.
10) Cleveland Browns
Quite possibly the most hyped up team in the NFL today the Browns are new to the world of expectations and oh boy are they huge ones. The Browns are the preseason favorites to win the AFC North with second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield leading the charge. The addition of star wideout Odell Beckham Jr., talented defensive end Oliver Vernon, and young defensive back Greedy Williams make it easy to pick the Browns as a top-10 team.
18) Indianapolis Colts
Goodbye Andrew Luck, hello Jacoby Brissett. While it is difficult to really gauge how good the Colts will be with Brissett rather than with Luck remains to be seen. With a stable of good offensive skill players, an elite offensive line, and an up and coming defense it’s hard to imagine this team not being close to playoff contention until the very end of the season. At their best, they have the chance to be a top-10 team, but at their worse, this team won’t go below 18.
26) New York Giants
The Giants are filled with young talents like QB Daniel Jones, RB Saquon Barkley, TE Evan Engram, OG Will Hernandez, CB Sam Beal, S Jabril Peppers. However, the storyline for this season is how QB Eli Manning is the starter while, frowned upon until he ACTUALLY got the chance to play, Daniel Jones will be his back up. This team might have a good future in line, but we are gonna have to wait for that future.
31) Arizona Cardinals
Usually, when you draft two quarterbacks in the top-ten in back to back years it isn’t a good sign. However, Heisman trophy winner and first overall selection Kyler Murray could potentially change that narrative in his first NFL season with new head coach Kliff Kingsbury. While it does seem the Cardinals are a few pieces away from even being considered a contender in their own division, Murray might be the first piece to put them in the right direction.
